Prayer is one of the primary means by which we,
as believers, both speak to and hear from God.
It is an important part of our experience as Christ followers, both individually and as a corporate body of believers. Here at New Life we value prayer as foundational in our relationship with Christ.
Scripture contains foundational truths providing a basis for prayer ministry:
The Bible commands us to pray (Ephesians 6:18, Colossians 4:2).
Prayer is powerful and effective (Hebrews 4:16, James 5:16).
God hears and answers prayer (1 John 5:14-15).
Praying for others is in accordance with the mission of Jesus (Isaiah 61: 1-7).
